The CMIO is responsible for developing, implementing and utilizing Information Technology systems that enable CHA to embody the 10 rules and achieve the 6 aims of the Institute of Medicine Report. The CMIO heads the Division of Clinical Informatics.
The CMIO reports to the Senior Vice President of Information Technology/CIO and has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The Division of Clinical Informatics operates in a matrix structure, and most projects will be undertaken in close collaboration with the Senior Directors in IT, and clinical, management, education and research leaders.
Incoming CMIO will work in a clinical setting for approximately 20% of the total FTE in this role. Applicants must have MD/DO degree with completion of an accredited residency/fellowship program to be qualified. Qualifications also include a minimum of board eligibility with board certification preferred.
