The Department of Psychiatry at the Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is recruiting a Chief of Psychology to lead the Division of Psychology and participate in the new strategic plan to address health care disparities, racism, and mental health needs of our diverse communities and patient populations. As part of the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, the Department has a long history of multidisciplinary clinical care, research, and training. Cambridge Health Alliance is a safety net public health system and has been an innovator of psychology training, as well as medical education, residency training, social work training, school-based mental health, and integrated/collaborative care.
CHA seeks to be a leader in the development of a learning health system and learning health community, by prioritizing Patient-Centered/Personalized Care, Population Health and Practice- Based Research to provide the most effective care possible and address the unmet mental health needs of the communities we serve.
As part of the Department’s Leadership, the Chief of Psychology will be instrumental in driving the department forward in the use of patient data to inform equitable health care, choosing the type of care appropriate for each patient, academic scholarship, and models for training mental health professionals for the future workforce.
Applicants should have experience in clinical care and operations, a demonstrable record of scholarship related to outcome-based research, and demonstrated administration of professional training programs, faculty development to develop a diverse workforce to address future mental health care needs. A history of successful grant experience is a plus. A successful applicant will be eligible for an appointment up to the level of Associate Professor at Harvard Medical School.
