Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is recruiting for the Chief of Orthopaedics to oversee a well-established and talented orthopaedic department. Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is an award-winning healthcare system based in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s metro-north communities. CHA provides innovative primary, specialty and emergency care to our diverse patient population through an established network of ambulatory clinics, an urgent care site and two full service hospitals. CHA is an academic affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS) & Tufts University School of Medicine and a clinical affiliate of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. As an academic affiliate of HMS, the incoming physician will be eligible for a faculty appointment commensurate with medical school criteria.
The incoming Chief of Orthopaedics will provide clinical and administrative leadership across two hospital campuses and four outpatient sites in Cambridge, Somerville, Malden and Everett, MA. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead an Orthopaedics Department in a well-regarded safety net healthcare system with plans for growth. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years of post residency clinical experience, have 5 years of experience in department/organizational leadership and have a desire to work in a safety net system. Demonstrated ability to implement department-wide protocols, identify clinical process improvement areas and opportunities for quality initiatives are essential. Candidates must have excellent clinical and communication skills and possess a strong commitment to our underserved, multicultural patient population. Previous employment in an academic, matrixed organization or safety net system is a plus. Total Joint and/or Spine preferred.
