Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School (HMS), has 1 full-time opening for Adult Neuropsychologists in the Outpatient Neuropsychology and Psychological Assessment Clinic (NAPA) within the Department Psychiatry. CHA comprises three hospital campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty outpatient care practices in Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston’s Metro North Region. It serves a rich culturally, linguistically, and ethnically diverse population. The NAPA clinic provides outpatient/inpatient care to a range of adult patients with primary neurological, medical, and psychiatric disorders and covers neuropsychology needs for the entire hospital system. The Psychology Division within the Department of Psychiatry combines advanced clinical care with academic engagement and has a vibrant training program that includes psychology practicum students, interns, and postdoctoral fellows. The NAPA clinic trains three neuropsychology postdoctoral fellows yearly. A teaching team of seven clinical neuropsychologists partake in the neuropsychology postdoctoral program.
Duties include completing outpatient and inpatient neuropsychological assessments, primary care brief neuropsychological assessments, and consultation with colleagues in other medical and mental health specialties. Teaching and clinical supervision of psychology interns and neuropsychology postdoctoral fellows is expected in exchange for an HMS academic appointment commensurate with HMS criteria and candidate qualifications. CHA is a teaching affiliate of HMS. This position carries an HMS appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications and commitment to teaching responsibilities.
Clinical research opportunities are available and NAPA team research projects that engage the neuropsychology fellows are encouraged.
Applicants must hold a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA/CPA-accredited program, have completed an APA/CPA-accredited predoctoral internship and a two-year postdoctoral neuropsychology fellowship. Applicants must be licensed in Massachusetts upon position start date and be board-certified or have completed Houston Conference Guidelines for training in neuropsychology.
