The Harvard Medical School Department of Psychiatry at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is recruiting a Chief of Psychology to lead the Division of Psychology and participate in the department’s plan to address healthcare disparities and the mental health needs of our diverse communities and patient populations. The Department has a long history of multidisciplinary clinical care, research, and training.
CHA is a safety net public system with a strong state partnership serving Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston's metro-north region. Psychology plays a central role in meeting the increasing and complex needs of our patients and communities and advancing our academic mission of teaching and research. The Chief supports psychology staff working in many settings, including adult and child inpatient and outpatient services, specialty teams, integrated care, and schools. The goal of its intern and postdoctoral training programs is to train the next generation of practitioner-scientists to play leading roles in academic, public, and community settings. There are unparalleled opportunities for community-based research including collaborations with our renowned Health Equities Research Laboratory.
Applicants should have outstanding academic, clinical, administrative, and leadership skills and a demonstrable record of scholarship in education or federally funded research. Some clinical work and teaching are required. The successful applicant will be eligible for a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School, the level of appointment depending on credentials and experience.
The department is fully committed to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in our faculty and our clinical care. Women and members of historically marginalized groups are encouraged to apply.
