    The Department of Medicine at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School (HMS), is seeking a Program director to lead the Internal Medicine Residency Program. This will include administering clinical training, didactic education, and professional development for the residents. CHA is an award winning, academic public healthcare system which receives national recognition for innovation and community excellence. Our community healthcare system includes three hospital campuses, as well as an established network of primary and specialty practices in the Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s metro-north area. Our internal medicine residency program has drawn national attention for its focus on community oriented primary care and general medicine training at a safetynet healthcare system.

The position carries a Harvard Medical School (HMS) appointment of Instructor, Assistant or Associate Professor, commensurate with HMS appointment criteria, candidate qualifications and commitment to teaching responsibilities.

    The successful candidate will be board certified in internal medicine and possess outstanding clinical, communication, and mentoring skills. At least 2 years of participation as an active faculty member in an ACGME-accredited internal medicine residency program, demonstrated excellence as a teacher, and strong interest in graduate medical education is required.
