The Tufts University Family Medicine Residency Program at Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is searching for a vibrant, innovative family medicine physician to join our core faculty as the Director of Population Health Education. This full-time position comprises clinical practice, teaching, and curriculum oversight. This faculty member will work closely with the Program Director and Medical Director to provide residents with the background and practical skills to become leaders in population health in their eventual practices.
Our residency program produces graduates highly competent in outpatient family medicine clinical care through primarily outpatient clinical experiences but also inpatient, prenatal and emergency care. Residency education related to population health, panel management and clinical quality improvement is vital for comprehensive understanding of medicine and learner growth.
An ideal candidate would have strong organization and leadership skills, flexibility to transition to different projects, and ability to collaborate with other curriculum directors to best utilize data and available quality metrics for maximizing resident learning. They would be adept at systems thinking and have strong quality improvement skills and experience. They will have experience with curriculum development and delivery and have strong teaching skills. Fellowship training is favorable but not required.
The residency is well known nationally for its innovation. It is one of 14 residency programs in the P4 (Preparing the Personal Physician for Practice) national demonstration program and is known for its work on increasing diversity, equity and inclusion. It is located in Malden, Massachusetts, a multicultural community located about 8 miles from downtown Boston.
